The provisional timetable for the day is:

08.30 Registration & Coffee
in the Atrium of the Richmond Building (the main building of Bradford University)

09.15 Welcome and Introductions

09.30 - 12.00 Individual Presentations by members of Class VIII
Each will introduce his/her 'buddy' from Class IX

There will be a Coffee Break during the morning presentations.

12.00 General information about Class IX, including availability as speakers.

12:15 Lunch - to be served in the Small Hall and in the refectory - opposite/along the corridor from the Great Hall .

13:30 Keynote speaker: Professor Nana Poku
Dean of the School of Social and International Studies

Nana K. Poku is the John Ferguson Professor of African Studies at the University of Bradford. He joined the University's Peace Studies Department in 2006 from the United Nations where he held the posts of Senior Policy Advisor to the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and also Director of Research for the United Nation's Secretary General's Commission on HIV/AIDS and Governance in Africa (UN-CHGA). He currently serves as a Special Advisor to the Government of Ghana on PRSP and Health issues and has led 14 appraisal mission in 11 countries in Africa. He has also been an advisor to the European Union, the World Bank, the OECD, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations Development Program, among other international agencies.

15:05 Guest Speaker – Ryan Gawn

Ryan was a Peace Fellow in 2003-2005 at the Universidad del Salvador  in Argentina. He is a public affairs and conflict resolution consultant, currently leading an economic development project in Eastern Afghanistan. He is a Council member of Chatham House and Treasurer of the United Nations Association Westminster
