Several of the past and present Peace Fellows keep blogs. We will put links to any that we know about, on Fellows' individual web pages. Please let us know of any we have missed. Thank you.
HUOT SOKUNTHEA
CAMBODIA
My name is Huot Sokunthea. I am from Cambodia. I have two types of undergraduate education: Language Education and Business Administration. I have been working as a teacher of English at the English Department, Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh for four years. In early 2006, I helped establish a local organization called Youth Service Cambodia and was involved in several projects with the organization as a volunteer.
I speak two languages: Khmer (native) and English (foreign).
Area of interest: Human Rights, Politics, Peace building, and Democracy
I wish to contribute to peace building and development especially in Cambodia through my career as an educator. I will be teaching in a bachelor program in International Studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh and resume my volunteer service at Youth Service Cambodia upon the completion of my study at the University of Bradford. I believe the study in Peace and Conflict Resolution at the University of Bradford will help me to become a prolific and independent teacher.
