Bianca is the daughter of a Basque mother ( Spain) and an American father. Her Basque heritage gives her the unique perspective of what it means to be a minority struggling through issues of ethnic conflict. Having been active in global humanitarian work for over 15 years, she is now positioned to take her engagement to the next level as a Rotary Peace Fellow. Primary professional and personal interests include: Central Asia; Islam & the West; Ethnic Conflict Intervention; Justice & Reconciliation; Poverty & Radical Islam. She has lived in Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Spain and Kenya.

Bianca’s parents live in Spain; she is the 2 nd of 3 biological siblings and also has a 14-year old adopted Moroccan brother. Her hometown is Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA.
